Sunroof Electrical 95 Jetta

As my daughter loves her old Jetta, I embarked on the adventure of repairing the sunroof. After disassembly of the trim and removal of the head liner, it seems that black crud from the roof fell into the sunroof tracks and ultimately broke a cable. With the sunroof out of the car and disassembled, both cables were replaced and it was necessary to also replace a guide that was damaged. The sunroof is now back in the car and works fine with the allen wrench. However the electric motor does not rotate when buttons are pressed. I hear some clicking noises. Checking with an ohmmeter I measure what I believe to be the motor windings...approximately 80 ohms. So I am not convinced that the motor is bad yet. I have no owners manual for the car and so do not know what fuses to check.
Does anyone know which fuses are associated with the sunroof motor?
Does anyone have a schematic or wiring diagram they can share?
If it is necessary to replace the motor can the motor simply be replaced or must the entire assembly be replaced?
Any help is appreciated... :frown:
