I am not any good when it comes to electricaly issues so I could use all the help i can get. This is the problem. The running lights will not shut off after I shut off the car. All switchs and dampers are off and all fuses seem to be fine. I am poor white trash and couldn't afford to take it to a shop if there was a honesty mechcanic in town. oh yeah 89' 98 Regency Touring Sedan

If the car has the twilight sentinel option then try unplugging that module.

Thank you just 1 question do you know where that module is. I am hoping you say under the dash.

I had the same problem on an 89 Bonneville. Took the whole dash apart and found it just to the right of the steering column. Mine was in a white box (approx. 3"x3"x2") & even had a sticker that said "TWILIGHT SENTINEL REPLACE DO NOT REPAIR". You might be able to reach it without taking the dash apart but I'm not sure.

I didn't bother with replacing it, just unplugged it. Wrap some electrical tape around the wiring harness so it can't short out. Without the module you'll have to turn the headlights on & off manually.
