A new toy

Just had to gloat.
I've been doing some work with the local car auction.
A couple of weeks ago I transported a 1992 Lumina from an AT&T office to the auction for fleet sale.
This old girl had 162,000 miles, looked like it hadn't been run in 6 months or so, dirty, dusty, rusty pulleys and brake rotors, dead battery, etc. But with a jump, she fired up and ran like a champ, no weird noises or smoke, even after that long sleep.
As I drove it, I realized that it drove solid as a rock, you could tell it had been well maintained by the book. New struts, exhaust, etc. No leaks, shifts great, strong as any 3.1 I've driven, etc. I began to get interested.
So I bid $300 for it...and got it!
Only bad thing is the peeling dash cap..other than that, it's in excellent shape in and out. The auction even peeled all the AT&T decals and buffed it out, looks great!
Now I gotta figure out what to do with it. Tires and wheels first, those hubcaps and pizza cutters gotta go....:iceslolan

not sure if it was this forum or another, but there is a thread about the peeling dash issue. you can remove all the nylon from the dash by taking out the 5 bolts holding it down. clean off the plastic dash then purchase a cloth cover available from coverking.com ($35). I have done this and love how it turned out. click the link below in my signature and you can see the before and after pix of this project I have hosted on photobucket...
did you buy the 3.4 or the 3.1?
