Soon Civ Won't Be Able To Mock The GTC!

Well, not based on how it looks anyhow.
I took it in to get an estimate on the body work and painting the entire car. They estimated around $4,500. That being since the color is from House of Kolor and they are a bit more expensive. I can live with that since I budgeted $6,000 for it.
So, I'm making an appointment and taking her in next week!
WOOT!
Sorry, I just had to tell someone.

They'll be doing everything but the engine bay. I've already pulled the interior. I'll clear out the engine bay and take it back next year.
I've been trying to decide on something though. The car is made up of three colors. Pewter, which will become red. Quarts, which is the color of all the molding and trim. I want to keep that the same. Then there are the side views and the cowl. They are flat black. Now I either want to do the cowl an acrylic black or quartz and the mirrors the same or the same as the body color.
I'm leaning towards acrylic black for both.

I know, but you won't be able to say it looks like crap anymore. And that's fine. It will be all the better when it blows your doors off, if you ever make your way back to Utah.

I'm stoked for you. You've been though a lot with that car. It'll be fun this summer to pull the engine too! In my mind I'm like..."Finally! It's time."

LOL, only one TD I know has hit 8s. He's running no interior, light body, and a DOHC hybrid setup. I'm aspiring to low 11s with full interior. :iceslolan

That wouldn't be too fair right now. Thanks to the new exhaust and old age the clutch is slipping pretty bad right now. So, the next parts I'll buy will be the clutch, a bearing plate, and a Quafie.
i'd rather watch the 2 TT's run.
Yeah, but that wouldn't be fair either since his TT is pretty sick, in bad way. Perhaps I'll run him with both cars when he gets out here next year.

It's going to be red. It's a House of Kolor color. Blue Blood red, I think. I have the exact code though.

LOL, the other GTC was a much lighter shade. It was in that transition area from red to orange. This is a really deep red. Deep enough that if you stare at it long enough your eyes will hurt.
Besides, Andrei and I agreed it was the Kenwood head unit that did it in being that the last car he wrecked, he wrecked it days after installing a Kenwood. I had mine for about a week. http://smiliesftw.com/x/suspect.gif
Some other good news is this. My floor pan looks almost new.
