You can use a valve cover from any 1989-2001 G10/3 cylinder engine. You can even get a valve cover from a Turbo Firefly or Sprint with the embossed "TURBO" logo on it ;)

You probably should avoid the 89 - 91 plain, flat cover. It was redesigned to reduce oil getting sucked into the PCV system. The newer ones have a raised section on about two thirds of the cover with faint fins cast into it. In other words, it looks like the one you have.

Oh crap, no, that's a whole different thing. You're limited to 95 - 97 with a four cylinder.

ok this salvage dealer is saying that i have to call a dealership to make sure that his 96 valve cover will fit on my 97 and when i told him that a 95-97 should work he doubted that it would. so i tried calling some dealerships and they dont want to tell me, they put me on hold or try routing me to some other number, just getting the run around.

well ordered one out of missouri for a 97, better safe than sorry. only 12 bucks to ship and 20 bucks for the valve cover not to bad.

I think on the 4 banger, you need to put a dab of silicone on the four corners of where the "hump" starts on the short sides.
