I am currently carrying 2 remote controls with me. (Ford Taurus 2004)
The first one is the original remote control which has lock, unlock, Panic alarm & Trunk opener. (4 buttons)
I had a remote starter installed and got one more remote which has 4 buttons as well one of which is remote start button which I use to start the car remotely, thats the only use of this remote.
Can anyone suggest an economical remote which has all the five options in one remote control? Is there any alteration needed to the car in order for that remote to work?
Thank you.

Sounds like the installer of the remote start did not wire up the keyless entry portion of the remote start system.
You won't likely find one remote that will work with both the factory keyless system AND the aftermarket remote start. Do you know what brand the remote start is? Some remote start systems can be configured to perform the start following a set sequence of lock and unlock presses, in which case you could use the factory remote to also start the car.

Hi Rod:
The aftermarket black remote which remote starts has "AUTOSTART" written in the front it has 4 buttons: Top = lock, bottom = unlock, left = truck, right = (electric sign) remote start. if somewhere i have to look in the car do let me know where and i can look it up for you. Thanks

The aftermarket remote start module could be located in many places, under the center of the dash, under the dash near the steering column, etc. It will need to interface with the PATS module which is mounted behind the radio I believe and connects via wire to the antenna installed around the key cylinder switch.
Based on the buttons on the Autostart remote, it sounds like the remote start has the capability to also work as keyless remote entry. You'll need the wiring diagram for the start system, wiring information for the factory power locks, and sometone who knows what they're doing with wiring.
