need help identifying a part

i need help identifying a

what is cheap aluminum hose that goes from under the intake to the engine block.its about 2 inches thick and just goes from the block to the under side of the intake right below the vacuum cap or what ever it is on the intake

Does it go from the block or from the exhaust manifold?

If it goes from the exhaust manifold to the air cleaner, it is usually a heat riser. Most auto parts stores carry them.
