NO HEAT....Hello everyone!!! i have a 99 ram 1500 sport 4x4....318..... i have had the whole system backflushed, t- stat changed to oem 175 then a 195. i have some heat when under a load... but not much such as plowing thats all i use it for. also a new cap. the water circulates, but does not get hot(can keep my finger in it,lol) no leaks no strange sounds, and have even parked on about a 70 to 80 degree hill and had the cap off while doing this...and still no HEAT. have blocked off the rad also with cardboard and it stays about the same.is there a valve or censer im not finding? tyvm every one for any info.

I had a similar problem recently, in my 99 Ram 318. Couldn't get the engine to operating temp and had almost no heat(small amounts under load). My problem ended up being the water pump(also switched to a 195 t stat)which was just barely leaking from the weep hole. Not sure if this is your problem, but how high does your engine temp get? You might want to try a 195 t stat from the dealer. I went through three new t stats before finding one that now seems to work properly. Good luck.
