i'm thinkin of getting ethier a 1.5LVtec(SOHC),1.6LZC,B18B, or the most pricey the B16A1Vtec w/trans.
i have a guide on how to turbocharger a 1.5L SOHC engine, but for the most part i would like to know which would be better. and also if any of these engines will fit in my car with the OG trans for my car.

personal i'm lookin at the 1.5L becuase of it's price($600 JDM w/o trans) and if not that then the B18B($900 JDM w/o trans).

if anyone can help that'll be cool.

thanks

i don't think any of those engines you listed will fit in the prelude unless you have some custom mounts and axles to get it to fit and getting it wired up.

Well, The 2nd gen. Lude has a B20A that makes 160HP, and redlines at 7200. This is a JDM motor. The 86-89 Accord 2.0Si has the same motor. Try to get that motor if at all possible, then all you gotta do is switch to PGM-FI.

You will have a heel of a time putting a civic motor in your lude, don't do it.

There are two B motors in the old ludes and NONE of them make 160hp
B20A3 104hp 111 ft lbs in the 2.0 S
B21A1 145hp 135 ft lbs in the SI
the 92 F22B made 160hp 148 ftlbs.

So switch to MPFI then swap in a F22 or H22

BTW the 86-89 Accords had the A20A3 and made 122hp.

Another FAKE Honda boy who knows nothing. The 83-87 JDM Prelude 2.0 Si has a B20A that makes 160@6500, The 86-89 JDM Accord 2.0 Si
has this motor as well. The B series motors you listed arent even of the same generation Prelude. Check out Honda's Jap website, under Honda Open Terrace, it tell you the specs of ALL JDM cars theyve EVER made. Oh yeah, jcrx, you probably dont even know that the first B18A came in the 86-89 Accord GXL-S, where it was carbed, and still made 130 HP.
How dare someone without the facts dispute my irrefutable specs directy from Honda of Japan. Damn Faggot. Yes 160 HP.

Now you will be a little better educated. And I got "ranty" because you tried to tell me I was wrong, while my data is correct. So after this, you or anybody cannot tell me I am wrong, about ANY Honda related question or matter.83-87 Honda Prelude 2.0 Si JDM specs (http://www.honda.co.jp/HOT/ModelData/prelude/pu-ka-211/20si_sy.html) Youll have to scroll down, about half a page.

I want you to tell me that I am correct, and you had no bussiness disputing my stuff.

Cool, like I said, just don't start insulting people.By the way the link loads like this...http://www.[url/ I haven't been able to open Honda.co.jp.And the things I know are from experiance and info i can find,I've seen some weird motors from Honda, like carburated 90ps EG's for one that tripped me out.But when I post info for people or specs it is for something they have a CHANCE of getting and the B20's they are going to find in the US in junkyards and importers are not the old JDM 86-89 Accord motors, not saying they can't but the chances are almost nil, since there isn't really a market for them.

Well this is all fine and well, but your first reply to me sounded like "those motors dont exist" I just wanted to clear that up. If the link doesnt open up directly to the Prelude 2.0Si,(does for me) then go to the home page, then look at bottom of explorer window, and point at all links until you see honda.co.jp/HOT(honda open terrace), then look for HOTModelData.( If you dont have a translator) There will be every spec available directly from Honda. Then even more "weird things will come such as 96 Inegras with a carbed D15B. I have a easier to access list on my web site, but I need to finish the Civic, Beat, and other cars, and update my car, which is no longer the Neon on the site. My page (http://www.dbscarpage.freecyberzone.com) Since you know my stuff is official, you can believe ALL of it. Go to " Honda" on my page.

That's good info, but I can't even open up honda.co.jp from this computer. If I may of a constructive critisism about your site,it would be better seved if the info was layed out a little easier to access form.Having to scoll through it all can get annoying when looking for a specific piece of info.Other than that good job.

If you look at my page, youd know your engine is the EK, 100 HP 1.8 CARB. All B-engine are not DOHC, there are B20A3 which is SOHC carb.
Oh yes, there is a direct engine you could get, the JDM ES, it is a 1.8 CARB and has 125 HP, no wiring, but probably hard to find.

oops my bad. every Bseries engine i saw was DOHC. sorry. yeah that engine is going to be hard to find. my engine has 100hp? it can't have little. that thing FLYS up to 80mph in no time flat. so how can it have that little. oh well i guess some things are best unexplained. but still. how can a car with only 100hp beat a mid size car and a V8?(yes i said V8. it's my sisters truck) how?

because trucks are heavy. hell i still have an a/t, and i beat my friends f150 with a triton v8.

no offense to your friend but anything can beat a ford. they suck. my dads pos nissan pickup(which he hasn't chnaged the oil in for 4-5 years) could beat a ford V8(exept mustangs).

but you also have to count that my family is chevy only for domestic(exept my sis). and i have had some bad exp. with ford. i took D.E. with a 99'-01' cobra w/ a major P.O.S. V6.......not the best car in the world(show winner my ***!).
