My wife's 2002 Lincoln LS has the front passenger door locked and can't get it opened. Have tried using the key fob to lock and unlock the door, you can hear the actuator working but does not unlock the door. Have tried to manually lock and unlock the door but the lock lever seeems to be stuck in the UNLOCK position. Have tried pushing hard and pulling hard on the door no avail. A slim jim has been tried. Any ideas how to get the door open?

Thanks

Most door panels are easy enough to get off. Just look for a few phillips head screws near the corners and around the handle and buttons. Then pull up one the panel. You may need to unplug the wires to work but sometimes you can move the panel out of the way. Check the linkage between the lock cylinder and the Inside handle and aslo to the actual latch at the jam. There are plastic clips that hold the linkage together and you can get them from the dealer.

you can try this put charge on car at least 50 amp see what that does or you can try this first put good jumpers on with another car. running see if that will open them. or call lincoln inc. i don't think you want to mess with a dealer unless you know him and not jack you up.
