I have had my 2008 Focus 13,650 mi. in dealership twice now for hard shifting in transmission. 1st time they told me they had to replace the computer in the car. That didn't work, so it back today and they tell me they have to replace the valve body.
My question is, maybe I'm being to much a pest, should I be letting them replace these things on a new car or are these 2 things minor enough not to worry about and let it go?
Thanks in advance for reply.

Welcome to the Forum. You aren't being too much of a pest. An automatic should have firm smooth shifts. If it is shifting hard there is something wrong with it and it'll only get worse in time unless you get it taken care of. Some of the things that could hake it shift hard are: Throttle valve control cable out of adjustment. Idle Air control valve sticking. Main control valve body. The most common of these ailments is the main control valve body. It mostly controls shifts under different conditions. They are on the right track. Don't give up. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Hey, thanks for reply and the welcome mat. They did replace valve body, I drove 200mi--they suggest 100mi--and it still is shifting hard. I have another appointment on Monday--they said they would have to probably break down the transmission.
I know I don't want the transmission replaced on a new car. This is why I buy new, so I don't have these problems--my job depends on it. Anyway, we'll see how it goes. Thanks again.
