how's this set-up?

For my I/H/E I have decided on keeping my DCsports DAC short-ram intake w/k&n filter, and getting the DCsports ceramic 2-peice 4-2-1 headers, and the Apexi World Sport cat-back exhaust. How does this sound to you guys? A good set-up? I am figuring the parts to run me about $700, what do you think the labor cost will be for me to get these installed? I would do it myself, but at the moment I don't even have a garage...much less a pit. Or an A-frame....

Also, my car is an auto, that shouldn't affect anything right? And will I need to buy anything extra to accommodate the new parts? Gaskets etc..?

PLease take off your wing, I'm sorry but it looks rediculous on your car. Otherwise the set up sounds good. :bandit:

You may be able to save some coin on parts and onlly pay a lil more in labor (depending on your muffler shop) if you went with a universal muffler and got some custum piping. That's what I plan on doing, with a similar set-up (DC 4-2-1 Header) with likely a Tanabe or GReddy universal and having my exhaust guy do some custom work to connect the two. He's pretty cheap though, which is why Im doing it. A place like the dealer or those bastards at Midas would likely be mucho mucho expensive.

Just a thought. Otherwise, yeah set-up sounds good, and with your net gain of HP it should almost cancell out the drag from that sail on the back of your car. ;) (j/k)

I really love that post that someone added earlier "Why dont you invest in a chain saw and cut that wing off!" or something like that. or they called it a shopping car dolly. Ahh its too funny. But seriously it just does NOT go with the car! its just.... ahh! someones going to come by one day and just rip it off for you... its.... TOO high! The biggest mod you can do is getting rid of the wing! or whatever the hell it is... I can probbaly fit through it :D but other than that.. the car is nice :-)

Why is it not right? I just don't understand this. A lot of people around here honestly like it. My brother says if I take it off, I am killing the car as it's nothing without the wing... The same people say they don't like other things, like the rims and stuff. What is so bad about it? Just that its high? Meh, I like it high. Just like me :D

I hate wings on FWD cars they are unfunctional and look silly,but if you like it ,keep it.Your brother say the car will be nothing without it hahaha that's a good one.If you look at my car I guess it is nothing,but 1)thieves won't give it a second look 2) it will walk most cars like a chiawawa.If you want to put any power to the ground,swap out your tranny,get a Helms,tools all the parts (can be had a junkyard for a few hundred bucks) spend the day having a good learning experiance.Other than that you can get a torque converter and chip your ECU to different shift points,but that can suck for driving around town.You can get a supercharger also.Any way you got a list of good parts and you'll see some small gains,get a higher flowing cat to round it out.

High as HELL!! It's almost taller that the roof of the car! (if it really isn't taller than the roof) I like to refer to those as "lawnmower handlebars". Because most of the cars sound like lawnmowers.

might i suggest that you try to find somebody to buy-it? if your borther say's that it looks dope then you already have a seal of approval. so find someone in your area to buy it for like $200?

then you buy a set of springs and drop it a few inches'

Alright, I know I dogged your wing, and I appoligise for that. But it really does look rediculous. Now instead of just dogging you again, I'll give you a suggestion or two. First if you are going to leave it on, I would consider throwing on a phat ass body kit, not leave the body stock. Then consider throwing on 16's or 17's not 14's,.... if you are running stock rims, which I dont ramember if you are,... but if you were running 14's as a means for a drop,.... I diss-agree.... I could be wrong but that me.... There is sooooo much you can do to a Honda, thats what is sooo great.

Hey I'm not offended. I respect your opinions. It just gets annoying sometimes when I ask for help or comments on a specific part and all I get are a string of posts saying "damn your wing is too tall. Take it off" in one form after another. I have gotten though I think enough support of my choices to go ahead with it. I am pickin up my tax return money tomarrow and it'll pay for the parts at least. Might try to get it done this spring break but most likely will wait till the semester is over and do it this summer. I also bought one of those in-dash vtec lights mentioned in another thread and am waiting for it to get here. That I think would be rather useful and cool. Cheap too only $21.00 for everything.
