I have a working oem radio from a 2002 Chevrolet Venture parts car. It has the same dimensions and plug pinout as the 2004 Pontiac Vibe I would like to install it in. (The vibe's radio light display burned out). I know I'll need to take it to a GM dealer to reprogram the VIN (anti-theft), but before I have to pay the dealer is there any other reason the Venture's radio won't work in the Vibe? Thanks, Terry

hey, before you go out and swap the radio's around, make sure that the 2004 radio that your removing isn't part of the computer system. Last I remember 2004-up was when GM started to make the radio an airbag and onstar computer module, and removing the radio caused these to not work. I'm sure the radio from the 2002 venture isn't going to be a computer module like your old one.
Have you looked into just repairing the burned out bulb? I sent my Pontiac radio into a company from ebay who fixed my volume knob, replaced ALL my light bulbs, and cleaned and aligned my laser assembly. All or 50.00 which included return shipping. Its been working great! Plus they give a warrenty on their work.

What was the name of the company you sent your radio to?
