Hey everyone,
Revell kit.
Zero Paints - Guardsman Blue (Cobra)
Zero Paints - Brilliant White
First time trying to wire an engine...mainly because I have no idea how to . Learned from a reference photo roughly how the distributor wires go. Used some copper wire, bent to shape first then glued on.

(That white hose is actually now painted black)...

Tried to fill in dials with Klear but didn't turn out too well...

Body done in Halfords white primer followed by the blue then masked off for the white.

And after much swearing and frustration of constantly burning through my paint, I've finished it.

(Don't know why the picture quality came out so bad but it really isn't 'patchy' as it looks below. It really is smooth...promise )

Had to scratch "build" the two pairs of rear lights by just taking the tops off some pointy parts on the sprue.

Filled dials with Araldite with better results, but still not perfect.

First time using Alclad Chrome (only used on headlight cases and exhausts) and am pleased with the results. I think I need to find a harder clear coat though, as mine keeps rubbing off when I polish it very much like when an eraser rubs on paper. Am I just applying too much pressure with my MicroMesh pads?
Thanks for looking. Please tell me what you think.

hi, is this revell kit in 1/24 or 1/25?
looks good from here...maybe you take some outdoor pics to really show the result?
how's the build overall? i'm thinking of getting a 1/24 AC from either fujimi or revell so i need your input on this...
thankx!

rockinanko - This is the Revell 1/24th scale kit. As for my impressions, I think it's quite fun to build with plenty of room for details (wiring, flocking, doors etc). The one thing I don't like is the windscreen frame they supplied which looks way too thick than in real life. You could always carefully shave it down with a knife if you wanted to. The chrome parts are nasty too...
Getting the chassis onto the body was a little tricky, in that the wheels were a). loose fitting and b). took a little effort to get them to sit in the middle of the arch. I have glued mine. Not sure about what Fujimi's like, sorry. I will definitely build this again in the future but with more details going in. This one was just meant to be a quick & fun build.
Outdoor photos to come when it's sunny enough . Thanks for your comments.

Good looking build! You managed it well.
I'm thinking about getting one of these Revell kits too.
