Hello, I am a new poster and I have a problem with my Tracker. It would not start so I bought a new battery. Now there is a loud clicking noise from the center of the dash panel and a low whirring noise from the backseat area. Has the fuel pump quit on me?? Or is there something going on in the dash?? Is the fuel pump in the gas tank??:eek7: As you can tell, I'm not very knowledgeable about cars and I have to get the little devil back on the road. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you need a mechanic. Fuel pump is in gas tank on newer trackers. There are a lot of things in a tracker the whir and click. Fuel tank is inside back bumper under floor on ones I have seen, and you probably cant hear it inside unless empty, or noisy.
A mechanic is cheaper than months in a burn center.
