The heater core is leaking on my '94 Roadmaster sedan. Has anyone had experience in replacing one? Any info/help/pictures would be helpful. Thanks.

It's done mostly from the inside of the car. Remove the glovebox liner first. There is a brace at the bottom front of the dash that can be removed that the glovebox door screws to. This brace should be removed. You can now remove the screws that hold the cover on the heater housing. Now, disconnect the two hoses from the heater core under the hood. You can now remove the heater core relatively easily. You may want to replace the fan motor while you have all this apart. It's in the same area and easily removed once you've gone this far.

Thanks for the replies. It doesn't sound too bad. Also, thanks for the link to the other site with the detailed directions on it.

I finally tore into the heater core tonight. The hoses were real difficult to get off the core on the firewall side--no room and those factory spring hose clamps were a bear to get off. I went to the inside of the car and for the life of me can't figure out how to get the glove box out. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Thanks.

I finally got finished with replacing the heater core on my 94 RMS. The Impala SS website was invaluable for directions there. There were a couple of step-by-step threads on how to do it on the RMS even though it's the Impala SS site. If anyone else has to do this nasty job, I suggest going to their site and doing a search. Very helpful.
