Bleh, yesterday some frickin IDIOT rear ended me in a campus parking lot. I had stopped to let somebody who was stopped get moving, and before I knew it, some retard slammed into the back of my car. I got out and immediately started swearing at him, letting him know that he f***cked up, and if there was any damage, that he had damn well better make sure it's paid for. Luckily there was little damage to my car, just a hole in the plastic bumper, but his car didn't fare quite as well. This was the part where he started dropping F bombs at me, even though the accident was clearly his fault. We opted not to report it to the police, although I would have loved to see him get a ticket.

you should have reported it. and you may have more damage under the bumper that you cannot see. I know this from personal experience.

Yes but is it acceptable to scream at a Mustang driver when they hit you?
I was rammed by an '89 Foxbody about 2 weeks ago. Some 17 year old kid in a 4cyl hatchback trying to show off and it came back to bite him in the a$%.
You better believe I got out of the car and yelled "ARE YOU STUPID OR SOMETHIN?":swear:
The cop didn't give him a ticket but I'm kinda glad. I don't want him effing up my rates because he's a dumbass. And he's LUCKY, too. Can you imagine his premiums after something like that?
LIFE.

That's how bad it is now. Insurance companies have us by the balls so we'd rather suck it up and pay out of pocket rather than report it and end up paying for it anyway in premiums. Either way we're screwed. I try not to drive so much anymore, even though I love it. There are too many people where I live and the chance of an accident is so great anymore...it's not worth it.

What happened to my second post? All I said was I have the right to be angry at the guy. Anyways, I found my digital camera and took some pics of my rear bumper. The ol battletank held up fairly well I daresay.

No clue, I remember seeing it there the other day, the thread shows no delete notes? :dunno:
Bet you'll find a lot more damage under the bumper cover, the 'honeycomb' padding is probably cracked up pretty good, so the next time you get rear ended it won't hold up nearly 1/2 as well as it should. :2cents:

Oh well, I'll bet it outlasts the motor anyways. The car is probably going to become a yard ornament within a few months.

Try rebuilding a starter solenoid on the couch in your living room, with a 12 volt battery and jumper cables there to test it, while your mother is watching All My Children

I know what ya mean, i was pegged in my drivers door in my camaro, in a parking lot no less, by some broad talking on her cell phone, 3 way stop, she blew through it and got me pretty good, cost me a door and 1 hell of a headache, her insurance payed me out, and all is well.
