im a long time reader, first time poster. this is really for all who want to read, but aimed mostly at dr. bill. a long while ago dr. bill (the king of the geo metro forum, kudos BTW) posted a reply and at the bottom said some thing like: "If you find a gal that doesn't mind riding in your geo metro, take this girl and marry her". Lol. Well, i have been seeing this girl who not only doesnt mind riding in mine, but has one of her own that she researched on and bought herself! she loves the gas mileage and we joke about how they cannot go fast or up hills very well. we recently took mine on a long road trip (600 miles) for 32 bucks in gas! cant beat that! so needless to say im sticking with this girl for a long while. ;)

Sounds like true love to me!
If she likes you, maybe wedding bells will ring.....
But you have to teach her about something that most women do - lug engines.
My daughter has a 2003 KIA RIO and is always shifting to a higher gear.
This, of course, makes the car "not go up hills very well"....
Teach her to down shift and run the rpm's up for more torque.
"But I'll hurt the engine!"
Good lesson - take the lady out on a 10 Speed Bike ride - You know...with a gearshift on it.
Have her go up a hill and tell her to shift up like she does in the car....then tell
her that she is doing the same thing to her "poor car's engine"!
I think she will get the idea.
Also - if her car engine is getting long in the tooth, perhaps you both can do
a rebuild on her car - Head plus Rings, and get that power back!
Play 'kissie-face' while under the car's oil pan....
Thanks for the good words - I appreciate it.
I teach Chemistry and enjoy it when I hear my favorite words...
"hey - this isn't as hard as I thought it would be!"

Lucky! ... My girlfriend hates my metro's. She's never had a license or even touched a steering wheel but bitches about my car even when she's getting a free ride. I have an 88 Z28 she won't even ride in because she say's it was made for rednecks and Mexicans. With Christmas coming up I think I'll start watching Wal-Mart for a good price on a women's 10 speed.
