Inspirations: what inspires you to build models the way u do

I've seen some really nice works around here and i'm jus kinda wonderin what inspired you guys.

like for example: magazines, tv shows, your own car, your buddies cars, other people's models, or your misguided idea of JDM *ahem*...whatever it is..

mine: magazines and videos Option, Option2, Drift Tengoku, YoungVersion, fStage, Hot Version, Best Motoring etc.

what keeps me modelin is site like this other then that it get boring if you can talk to people that like the stuff you do thats why I'm strating a model site so i can have more fun :devil:

Imagination. Most of my ideas for custom cars are completely based off what's in my head and what I think I'm capable of doing.

I just like to build kits of cars that I like.

i just love to build models. i used to build with legos but when that got boring i just got into car models. and plus my friend bimmerkid showed me some of his and i just wanted to build my own so here i am

My inspiration came from seeing cars I wanted, but couldn't afford to own. So I make them the way I would like to see them.

i use anything withing my reach including my imagination:devil: wether good or bad:devil:

Magazines, websites, cars i see in person.

Watching the races and actualy racing.

Since just about everything I build is race related, and of that 99% of that consists of rally cars......
I would have to say my major influence is the WRC, my love for the cars and admiration of the drivers.....

mostly magazines and cars i see on the internet, but then i try and improve on those cars!!

I mostly build models from my own ideas. A lot of my models are built to be scales of my dream cars. Sometimes, when I want to do a custom (like I am currently), I sit down and ask myself what I would put into a show car if I had the money. If I decide to do a race car, I usually just pick one I like and build it after looking at some reference pics. Sometimes I just pick a car I like though and just build it.

I became obsessed with the vehicles from the game and it snowballed into me being heavily into import car modelling:cool: :bandit: I draw a lot of my inspiration from other modellers and from magazines, not to mention car shows:grey:

Accuracy and fidelity....
I build models too challenge myself and my capabilities as a builder. If someone can do it, I can. If I can do it, you can too! If you're willing to experiment, be open minded, and take notes you'll be a great builder. I hope one day to be considered one, but I'm a long way away...
What inspires me to build the particular cars I build? Passion. If I didn't have passion for the car I was building it would look like shite! I also build models as prototypes for real-life project cars to see if a "look" works as I imagine it would.
I love cars, all sorts of them. My tastes is very eclectic but I've grown my appreciation for some of the cars others have displayed on AF. I probably would have never considered a lowrider or ricer project before coming here. I've already purchased 4 Skylines and 4 Impalas since joining!!

1. Gran turismo (1/2/3)

2. I wanna see what an integra/300zx/supra (any car) will look like after I inject my style into it

3. Making a specific car look they way I want it to.

i get ideas form just about anywhere, including what has been said. I also get ideas for sifting around the parts box, You just happen to find a peice or two that would look cool on the car and finaly i build them the way i do cause plastic is way easyer to work with then metal and lots of the stuff i do wouldnt be possible in real life( like a doge viper engine in a Chevy Nova). Plus its much cheaper than real cars.

Certain people on Af make me want to build models to the best of my ability to name a few Subway, FOTW, Pman, and Kunta.

I get most of mine just looking around other model links and seeing what others do...and of course seeing everybodys kits here :cool:
