Ontario tint regulations

Iight, anyone that lives near or around TO know the tint regulations for the front driver/pass windows?? And whats the best tint to go with in the back??thnx

I know 1phatcx's is pretty dark, so its probably same as it is here, dark as you want in the back, and like 35% or so on the front windows, and then you can do a windshield tint strip down to the ASI line.

haha ... good luck man, another key to keeping your system is dont bump it when entering parking lots or in areas that are shady.

yea that does look pretty nice, what % is that?

looks close to 5% or it could also be 20%

I have no idea what percentage that red car has.

i used to have 15% all around... never got bothered by any cops. but i live in a small town.

I don't think there is any set percentage limit in ontario but here is what I've found on the web:

"Ontario - For the driver’s compartment, right and left, no film can be installed that would substantially obscure visibility from the exterior. Behind the driver’s compartment, any film can be installed. "


From the ontario highway traffic act:

"Windows to afford clear view

74. (1) No person shall drive a motor vehicle upon a highway,

(a) unless the windshield and the windows on either side of the compartment containing the steering wheel are in such a condition as to afford the driver a clear view to the front and side of the motor vehicle; and

(b) unless the rear window is in such a condition as to afford the driver a clear view to the rear of the motor vehicle."

"Colour coating obstructing view prohibited

(2) No person shall drive a motor vehicle upon a highway where the surface of the windshield or of any window of the vehicle has been coated with any colour spray or other colour coating in such a manner as to obstruct the driver's view of the highway or any intersecting highway.

Colour coating obscuring interior

(3) No person shall drive on a highway a motor vehicle on which the surface of the windshield or of any window to the direct left or right of the driver's seat has been coated with any coloured spray or other coloured or reflective material that substantially obscures the interior of the motor vehicle when viewed from outside the motor vehicle."

well... i dont have THAT clear of a view hehe
and as for the regulations... i have NO idea what they r!......guess i need 2 find out seeing as i live in Ontario hehehe :D
all i gotta say tho is... :finger: Ontario Laws :D hehe
