Hayabusa

How come there are no threads on the Hayabusa? isn't it like the greatest bike? It can do 0-60mph in less than 3 seconds and the 1/4mile in less than 10 seconds, with a top speed of just over 200mph, it pretty much outperforms any car on the road

well, mostly any car, except for those real super-supercars, such as the mclaren, and i thing diablo.

But then again, the Hayabusa is a street bike, and has nothing on a real a racing bike. Those crotch rockets arent street legal, and could kick the ass of even McLaren.

The hayabusa accelerates faster than the Mclaren.... a good rider can get it to go 0-60mph in the high 2 seconds   it's 1/4mile time is in the high 9 second range, the mclaren does the 1/4 in the mid 11s
that means the hayabusa could destroy a Mclaren
so obviously it could kill a Diablo also :)

and the hayabusa is pretty much a race bike, for the street

the only thing the hayabusa doesn't beat the mclaren in is top speed... since mclarens are the fastest cars...... The hayabusa has a higher top speed than a Diablo though

Yeah, but....Race bikes acclerate and have a much higher top speed than even they busa. i think the 1000 cc class bikes can give the mclaren a run for its money at top speed. Kinda windy though.

This bike is a deathwish!!! You can LITERALLY do 90 mph in 1st gear  I would never, EVER want a bike so overpowered! But then again, you do get a bit roadshy when you flip yourself head over heels off a dirtbike as a kid!!!

Boys Boys Get your fact right the Busa is no race bike for the road a well set up 750 GSXR will murder it round a set of twisties. OH and another thing even a humble 500cc twin can lose any car in the real world :flipa:

So you don't think the hayabusa is the best bike you can buy?

Nah mate you'd be better off with a GSXR 1000 as fast as the busa, handles better and only ways 165kg gives a power to weight ratio that most street cars can only dream about.

Have you ridden a high powered sports bike before?

gang$tarr

i think the hayabusa is better than the GSX-R1000...
plus you can mod a hayabusa just like you can mod a GSX-R1000

The Hayabusa no matter how much you modify it is still only going to be a straight line missle and not the all round road bike the Gixxer thou is having ridden both bikes on the road I know which my money would be on to get to a given direction first. The difference in accerleration is minimal in the real world but the advantage through the bends on the brakes that the thou has is unreal.

Some people don't have over 4k posts under their belt...

And I still say that I'd never want this bike... I personally like the Suzuki Bandit 600s like the thread I started that no one seems to have ever bothered to answer to... :)

oh, you'll want it someday, tangie. 600 is fine, but then you'll get used to the power, and want more. And heck a 1.3 liter engine will give you that power!! those busa's are rip snortin' beasts.

I think i found a new product that is going to be taking the bike world by storm. I got indiglow gauges for my celica and found out that the same company has them for the busa and all other models. you should check them out they are the SH!T!!!!

I agree, and disagree. I want more, but only out of my 6. When you've ridden with the Liters at full tilt and keep up or pass 'em in the curves. You realize you don't want one that badly.

a busa weighs a lot. Go to a shop and sit on it and lean a little. The get on a gixxer 1k. The difference if phenominal. The busa is closer to a sport cruiser with out all the cruiser luggage B.S. I'm not knocking it, its a great bike. But it is NOT for everyone or every use.

Like everybody has said, the Busa is meant for one thing only, straight line speed, I have taken one through the twisties without even riding hard and the thing just wanted to keep standing up straight (partly the tires fault) but it also felt like it was falling over at the same time. The Hayabusa is not all that much faster then a gixxer 1K, infact the 1/4 mile for 1liter bikes are only roughly 0.1 seconds slower in the 1/4 mile, and they are .1 seconds faster in 0-60. I would much rather get a big bore kit for a 600 or 1000cc bike to get more power then have to resort to getting something so ugly and heavy.

BTW, I was impressed with the 03 zx-12r, it felt a hell of a lot lighter then busa, and rode faster. Also, if you want a sport tourer, look at the FJR-1300, beautiful sport tourer with an engine torque output the same as the busa.

hahahaha, the Busa, HEAVY???? Surely you jest!! It's noticeably lighter than the 2k2 VFR800 Interceptor sitting out in the garage right now!!!!! I have yet to really "ride" the 2k2 Busa-- mostly b/c if there is an "oopsie" then tangie's b/f will kick her ass-- but I'm sure it will feel lighter on a "fun" road just like it does in the parking lot :p

no she isnt kidding, the 02 viffer weighs in at 20 pounds heavier then a busa.

I see. I guess I think about ways to cut weight off my 6 too much. *411lbs wet, thats way too much! Hmmm... mabey I can get rid of 50lbs here and there.* That thought is always running through my head.

What R1 said. It is noticable when you sit on the two. I have ridden the VFR800 a number of times... probably logged a good 2500 or so miles on it (would be more, but I prefer to ride my own bikes). I haven't done much but ride bitch on the Hayabusa, and play around in a parking lot, but the weight difference is noticable. Heck, even the old Suzuki RF900s were lighter than the Interceptor!!! V4s are good, and Vtec is nice, but the weight part blows ass.

the differences beween hayabusa and gixxer 1000 is the busa weighs 115 lbs more but it puts out 15 lbs of torque more than gixxer so their pretty equel.i have a 02 gixxer 1000 with velocity turbo kit.
