fuel pressure

What i want to know is if you should have full fuel pressure in just the key ON position? At top of fuel filter, if filter is new. We only have fuel pressure when cranking engine.

Yes I have noticed that last summer....fuel pump did come on only during actual starting. I still have to make sure I make that test really on the FIRST key ON attempt...(which I think I did not) at the litterature does say the pump would come ON for one second or so at key ON...and I think that should read "on the FIRST key ON". WHen starting again within a short time, the computer probably inhibits multiple "primers" as this would flood the cylinders , and delivers pressure to injectors only during actual starter cranking.
