Hey all,
I have a 1992 toyota 4cyl. p/u. I am replacing the starter on it but I cannot seem to gain access to the top bolt that holds the starter to the bell housing. Any ideas?

Thanks,
:banghead:

It's a PITA to get to, you just need the right combination of ratchets, extensions, and a swivel adapter. I think I used 1/4" drive stuff cause it fit in better. Remeber to disconnect the battery first, or you may end up doing some unintentional welding

i had same problem i was under my truck and my nephew was under hood once i got bolts out with swivel socket 3/8 drive he moved it around on top and had to drop it threw the bottom. you may even have to use a regular swivel also.

It's at about 1:00 or 2:00 IIRC. You can't really see it, you have to feel around for it.
