Got us a d16z6!

Well we got a good deal on a d16z6 for 250 without tranny. The kid had the tranny but its auto so we decided to go get one at the shop for 200. SO it all cost like 450 altogether. Anyways we had to take out the motor ourselves. The kid crashed his ride. SO he ended up goin to work and his bro was watchin us and chillin. He was kool and all . SO his dad came home from work. He didn't say hi how are u doin. HE said.."guys how long u think u can get this done?" I said we're almost there. HE said ok when? While he was shruggin his shoulders and said it with an attitude. We said in 30 mins. He said "ok well go take my son to the bank first before u guys put the motor in ur truck" We said ok. SO i ended up takin him to the bank to give him his money. Anyways So we wanted to hurry up. His bro went inside to get ready for work. SO then we were done. We cleaned up and everything and his dad came out to watch us. I guess he was tryin to get more money out of us cause kept sayin that those motors go around 700-800 bucks. My boy told him that he can get one for 500 with 30,000 miles on it . His dad was like "oh really?" He didn't seemed to believe us. We just replied sayin yeh. My boy was sort of getting frusturated and so was i. Anyways we put the a/c and powersteering in the box. Then i put it in the truck. His dad asked whats in the box. My boy told him. Then his dad was like " he gave u all that stuff for 250?" We said yeh he said to take anything we need. His dad said " "take anything u need? I dont think so bring that box back here and when he gets home from work i'll ask him if its ok. If hes ok with it u can come back and get the stuff" Man we were so pissed off!:mad: We did all that work to take the a/c off and power steering for nothing. Plus we're helpin him take the skunk2 coil overs and tockico shocks out and put it in his other ride! Oh well i mean we still got a good deal on the motor. We gonna sell it in 3 months till my boy gets the h22 for his sol:)

Well we didnt want to start a big arguement yet. IF he doesn't give us the stuff then we just not gonna help him on his suspension. Im pretty sure he'll give us the stuff though.

should have told him....my friend got a '00 d16y8 with 12,000 mi for $500.

shooooot....dad must have been looking up b series prices for $700-800 engine block only, or maybe dad was really just :bonghitte

Well i'm still not a d-series fan and same with my boy. We just need a temporary motor for his sol cause he needs something to drive around since he sold his b16a3 to our other friend:)

The dad is an idiot. If the kid told yout o take anything you need then you should be able to take it. I also want to say you guys find some good deals on engines. I don't find any in my area. Hopefuly I will find some good deals at the local junk yards on paarts when I'm home for break.

Yeh we found a flyer that he posted it up at a local shop. So we called and he was originally askin 500 but since we are takin out the motor he lowered it down. Plus we didnt need the trans.:)

I would have told the dad to go screw himself adn pull the motor out and deliver it to you. He should have stayed out of your business. This just proves how ignorant people are.

I'd say like 20. His bro is 18 i think.
