Decal issues

As you can see in the picture, even using Micro sol and set i still have a wrinkled decal. From past experience not all the wrinkles will go away.
The piece is the seat of a Honda Repsol 98 bike and I have another on the production line ('99 version). How can I apply this decal and other curved decals next time to stop this from happening?
I could paint the area white instead of using the decal but I can't always do that. sometimes you just gotta use the decals.
Thanks in advance for any tips you can give!
I will apply microset again to see if it helps but I don't like its chances....

Just a thought, have you tried heating with a hairdryer and coaxing it with a damp ear bud?

i've used a damp ear bud, haven't tried the hairdryer trick. i will try that out next decal.
I'm assuming you just have the hair dryer on low settings so it just warms up the decal/model. Or do i want it to get hot?

I suppose it depends on the hair dryer. You dont want too much heat just enough to make the decal soft an tacky and press it in place with the bud.
I wish you the best .

Try pressing it down with a very hot damp cloth, it will lay down and conform instantly without any wrinkles.

I'll try that next. the hair dryer helped i think. i still got wrinkles but a lot less this time. damn hair dryer allows them to set very quickly!
I'll try the hot damp cloth next and see how that goes. thanks!
