cavalier air bag

hello, i was just wondering if anyone has ever had their air bags go off, and if this happened to you......

the passenger side air bag sits under that flap on the dash (you know what im talking about) well when my air bags went off, the air bag (obviously) threw that flap open so hard it shattered my windshield,

so i was just wondering was that just some shitty luck, or does the windshiled get shattered every time the air bags go off in these cars?
