My engine bay smells like a burning birthday cake candle...even after short trips. I know i have a small valvecover leak and a small oil leak near the oil cooler, but it definitely doesn;t smell like burning oil.
I've looked for burning wires or hoses, but can't find anyhting that looks damaged.
Ideas?

if by birthday candle, you mean sweet, then it is probably coolant.

:eek7: wtf kind of birthday candles have you been smelling bro? lol
Anyways, it seems to have gone away, so i'm guessing whatever it was has burned off...probably something on one of the turbo heat shields or upper exhaust parts :dunno:
