Rear main seal install..

whats the best way to install the seal correctly? i failed once and its leaking, in process of replacing the seal again wanna get it rite this time.

Some people suggest dropping the pan and replaicing it via pulling the seal housing.

Me personally, I have never done it that way and never had a leak. The trick is to get the new one seated evenly and properly.

I've always pulled the pan, I thinks its pretty difficult to get it seated evenly while its still on. Its much easier to pull the housing and sit it down flat where you can better see what you are doing.

Its all personal preference. Like I said Ive never had an issue
