How do you remove 'change oil' light?

My 2008 Dodge Avenger SXT at 5,500 miles has the "Change Oil" light come on...off...then on and with it the 'ding' sound as if my door is open. How do you remove this without having to bring it back to the dealership? Thanks for your help.

turn the key on, engine off, press the gas pedal to the floor three times. cycle key and light should be off.
