headlight switch help

alright i have a 99 civic hx. The headlight switch is burned out. Does anyone know if a 95 switch will work? They have different part numbers, but i think it's only because the pictures are different on the switch. I just don't know if the switches plug in the same. Thanks guys

The plugs most likely are different. I'm not sure if you could re-pin the plugs to make it work, but you'd be sorely tested to do so... not counting the fact that they probably have slightly different mount points, etc.

Best bet is to get the right one... which may be specific to your car.

96-00 is the range, but search the one for your car before guessing if one from another model will work. Diff part numbers don't necessarily mean it will not work, but do you want to waste the money to find out?
