Hello,

Have a 94 buick with 3.8L and obd1.

Test shows: primary side:
cyl. No.
6 fail, no voltage
3 ok,
2 fail, no voltage
5 ok,
4 fail, no voltage
1 ok.

Can anyone speculate what this test indicates?

Not going to be able to tell you much but from my understanding these coils are "waste spark" coils. The energy left over "waste" from one side of the coil travels to the other side after one fires. So that could explain why you don't get a completed circut from one side of each coil. I need to look back at my auto mechanic book, its starting to collect dust, gotta go back to school.....but thats another story.

Take the module to an AZ store or Napa for a more conclusive test.
