95 jimmy probs

Hello this is my first time on this site but i got to say this is a wicked site. Anyways I have a 95 jimmy SLE and latly i have been haveing some problems that no one can give me any anwsers. First off my 4x4 light have been flashing like crazy only when the truck is warm. Secondly the truck shifts hard in the first two gears and it has been sticking in what i would think would be third gear. I was wondering if anyone could help. Thanks

Disconnect the battery to reset the tranny shift mode back to normal, instead of default.

Hard shift is because of a problem - either electrical or mechanical, that cranks up hydraulic fluid pressure. Don't keep driving it if it re-sets to this limp-home shift mode.

Also, defaulting to third gear only is a symptom (in later models) of ignition switch problem, which will ALSO re-set by disconnecting the battery. I don't know if your switch is the same. You can find out from the dealer parts/service dept. If so, it is not a hard fix.

Have you gotten it scanned? You should do it now.

thank u. But i was wondering if u might know why the 4x4 light keeps flashing or if it has anything to do with the tranny problems.
