Coolant Drain Plugs K2500HD

Can anyone tell me if there is a radiator drain on a 98 K2500HD 454ci, 7.4L.

I have the bash plate, fan shroud(s) removed and cannot find anything resembling a drain plug-petcock.

I'm flushing the system and thought I should drain at the lowest point not just the lower rad hose.

Help?

Thanks, I'll search. Is it a metal bolt?

Found it! Thanks again. It's a plastic thumbscrew.

Not the lowest point on the system.

Not the lowest point on the system.

It should be down at the bottom driverside ...maybe 1/2in above the lowest point..

take out thermostat then flush out...drain as much as possible and use air pressure to blow out the heater core....your vehicle requires dexcool to keep things from corroding..It was designed for this type...

I would replace cap and thermostat if old....good luck
