Open Rear Door ?(handle Broken)

2001 TOYOTA SEQUOIA LIMITED - How Can I Open The Back Door When The Handle Is Broken (there Is No Inside Mechanism For This As Far As I Can Tell)..thankyou Gene

you will have to remove tailgate panel from inside, is the rearwindow operational? you may damage panel when trying to remove. will have too first remove the two pieces on the rearwindow that is on the pillar of the door itself, then try to remove panel by removing pull strap on tail gate. then will have to pry panel out . when panel is removed you may have to remove metal panel on tail gate to have access to the rod that pulls on the latch. pull on the rod to relase tailgate, when open remove screws that holds outer bezel then remove handle. reverse most steps to replace.
