92 caddy jerking issues

Hey guys, i not too long ago purchased a 92' cadillac deville, when i drive the car after about 5 minutes it begins jerking, and always jerks really bad when i get around 25 mph. also it usually will keep jerking until i get no gas or forward movmt. at all and the engine just cuts off. any suggestions as to what the problem is?
