I am thinking about supercharging my 2005 Grand Prix 3800 Series 3 Engine. I found a few supercharger conversion kits for the 3800 Series 2 engine but nothing for the Series 3 Engine.
I am looking for any info, tips, and where to start, on supercharging my 3800 Series 3.
Thanks for the help.

I dont think the SS kit from ZZP will work on 3800 series 3 motors.
If you want to supercharge it you will need the heads, LIM, supercharger, fuel rails, fuel pump, HD tranny, balancer, pulleys, all from a doner 3800 III supercharged motor. Plus you will have to run larger than stock pulley due to the higher compression ratio from the of the N/A 3800 III S3 vs the S/C 3800 III.
I'm not sure that its worth your time and money. Have you considered turbo charging it? It might be slightly more expensive, but install will be easier.

Are the l67 components interchangeable with the l26 engine?

For the most part no.
The heads, block, pistons, etc... are all different. The 2 engines share some common parts, but there are so many subtle (and not so subtle) differences that trying to swap parts between the 2 is highly inadvisable.

that kit is for a 3800 N/A Series 2. I dont think it will work on your Series 3. But we'll see what the Moderator's say.

To the OP, have you considered Turbocharging it instead? Go to www.zzperformance.com and check out some of their turbo packages.

I thought about merging the 2 posts also Bob, but didn't. I think it was a good call as both are related, I probably should have saved you the trouble.
