So here it is my first post, 95 APV LS with 3.8 I picked up real cheap. Local parts guy says 80 bucks for the muffler and 120 for the tailpipe cuz its got a stock resonator built into it. I said no way and walked out, now searching around the web trying to find better pricing but so far I cant find anything. I might just try to tack on the hanger to the muffler and piece together a homemade tailpipe assembly with clamps. Anybody have a better idea? Thanks!!!

For what it's worth, I have a 1998 Lumina and I removed the resonator to
make it sound better. I did not notice a change in the sound nor the performance of the car. So I wasted my time.
I suggest you have Midas (or yourself) weld up a working exhaust system
and let it go with one or two short mufflers near the back bumper.

At current the 95 3800 TS I have actually has a Moroso Sprial Flow muffler on it... A little too loud for my tastes... I have had people tell me they like it and it sounds good.. The van belonged to a friend and he had that muffler installed on it... I want to go back to an OE style muffler( like walker ) with no resonator..
The Moroso sounds really good, but at 2000 rpms the Drone is nuts..
The 3800's seem to sound pretty good with Flowmaster or Magnaflow when using a resonator
