camshafts

My dad saw a video on youtube of a car blowing up from nitrous so he wont let me get it the next thing im going to do is get a camshaft if i can find one. I CANT FIND ANY FOR THE 2.2 liter. if anyone knows of any please tell. Also im a newb with this camshaft stuff just started researching it so do i need new rocker arms, valve springs or anything else to go with the cam or can i just install the cam and do a dyno and have no problems? And i have a 1997 chevy s-10 2.2 liter engine wat is the duration and lift that i need. i want it still to be able to pass smog but i want as much horse power as possible out of it. and is there a certain type of camshaft that i need. Any info will be appreciated. thnx

well depending on what kind of lift you want out of your cam u don't need to get anything else, but a good type of cam is a lunati or voodoo cams htey are the best to search for exactly what you want go to voodoocams.com voodoo is the same as lunati but voodoo is a branch for spific cams. hope i helped
