Welcome to AFs!

Were you getting the oil light before you changed the bearings? Are you hearing any knocking after you replaced the bearings?

Is this on your 93? What motor do you have?

I would check the bearing clearence with a tool called "plastic gauage". You can buy it at a good autoparts store. What you do is to pull the oil pan off AGAIN and pull a bearing cap. Then you place a strip of the plastic gauage on the bearing surface and torque the cap. Make sure you don't rotage the crankshaft when you have the plastic gauage in. After torquing the cap bolts take the cap off and measue how much the plastic gauage has spread out using the package the gauage came in. The more it spreads the tighter the clearence. If there's too much clearence oil leaks out the side of the bearings and causing low oil psi.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Dan

Are you going to give the plastic gauage a try?
