hi ppl for no reason what so ever i now have no power at all going to the back of my stereo i have got an electricallscrewdriver to the wires but nothing just wondering whether there is a fuse for this somewere also my interior light has stopped working as well as my clock would these items be on the same lot of wiring this is on a '95 mk5b escort

A bit of punctuation might help to decipher that question... but yes, I believe you may have a fuse blown. CHeck near the driver's feet for the fuse box.

Yep, they're all on the same circuit. Your cigarette lighter socket will also be dead, and the alarm indicator LED won't be lit, although the alarm will still work.

On the UK Mk5b there's a little fuse panel below the steering wheel, in front of your knee - take the plastic cover off and check fuse 29, 15A. It's on the bottom row and should be in the sixth slot along from the left. I blew mine last winter.

If you fit a new fuse and it blows again, then check for loose wires at the back of the cigarette lighter socket, or dodgy wiring at the back of the radio if it isn't the original factory-fitted unit.
