I have a bad motor and i was wondering could i use the motors from other years than my car, to use as a direct swap.I'm looking for another V6 non-turbo DOHC 24 Valve. Like a 1992,93,94,95,96,97,98,99 engine same car.
My car Information
1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL 3.0L DOHC V6 24 Valve

Basically yes. There will be some parts that will have to be swapped from your old engine to the new engine if you anything 93+ though.

It will depend.
93+ has a different cam and crank angle sensor set up. You would have to swap your CAS onto the rear head if you get 93+
Other than that if it is 94+ and has an EGR you will have to swap on your intake manifold and exhaust manifolds.
If its 94+ you will need to swap in your thermostat housing IIRC because the first gens have there sensors in the rad where the 94+ have them in the housing.
There could be other things I am missing but basically whatever is different will need swapped.

If i was to buy the Same year, exact engine imported from Japan would that be diffcult or the same as an American Version
