I was wondering if removing my a/c unit might free up some power since the a/c doesn't work. What size of new belt would i need or would i need to get another tension pulley of some sort. Thanks for any help! Mad Prelude Love!!

You won't feel any difference at all with taking it out. It's the same as keeping it off.

wrong...whether or not the compressor clutch is engaged the fact of it having to spin the bulky pulley will make you loose about 2-3 hp.
i own a 3rd gen and have done quite a bit of work to mine...yes you can remove the a/c and if you want go ahead and remove the powersteering and just pack your steering rack full of grease to keep it lubed up. pleny of people i know do these simple mods to get a little more hp. and less weight.
