AU8 code

my 2002 alero gx ecotec car doesn't have the AU8 code but the parts car i have does it's a gls what parts do i need to make my gx have the remote locks?

You mean the remote keyless entry (RKE) option? You'll need the body control module (BCM) that supports it, keyfob and remote control door lock receiver module (RCDLR) and possibly supporting wiring if not installed on a GX model.

yeah the RKE system....where are these two boxes located and what do the plugs look like so I can tell if i have them or not?....thanks

oh and i have a fob already....

The BCM is located under the passenger side of the dashboard. Just remove the kickpanel. The RCDLR is located under the rear package/speaker shelf. You'll have to remove the seat cushions and then the shelf.
