What is sand? or sandwich? Help

Hello, i need to know whot is Sand, or Sandwich, tha i see is used in the models, where can i buy it?

Sand is the stuff you see on the beach, a snadwich is something you eat.
What exactly are you referring to?
Do you mean flocking which is used to simulate carpet?

those are styrene strips. the pix shows how to create an extension for the fenders using styrene and putty.

Here's a reiteration of what I posted there...

Sand paper is rated on a bit of a confusing basis. It's based on "grit" which is somewhat equivalent to stones per square inch. A 320 grit paper will be very rough, while a 2000 grit paper will be very fine. Before painting, you should have smoothened the surface with about a 1000 to 2000 grit paper. However, most of the time you will only find up to 600 grit paper at a hardware store. If you use this, it will leave quite a few scratches on the surface, that will be visible after painting.
