The Getaway?

Ok guys, how tight is this game? It looks tight as hell on Tv but I get mixed reviews. I normally get games according to my source. Like check out this review, this is where I normally go

ok ive got the game and beat it over two days in ubder 8hrs of gameplay.

it was too easy for me, but it might not be for you, i feel im very good at video games, anyway the graphics are better than GTA: Vice City but not as good as GT3: A-Spec. the story is cool, cutscenes are amazing, and the game itself is great, but ive got my problems with it.

like i said for me it was too easy, second, the free-roam mode is cool for like 15 minutes, but after that its just boring. in GTA the cops would progressivly get harder against you eventually sending the army after you, but in this game, no matter how many people you kill or terrorize, the cops are only two at a time, with an occasional running cop at you, nothing fun for creating terror. even in the armored car with the working turret, only one cop would even turn his sirens on, and if you keep driving they just disapper, not fun to me.

i do like how there is no ingame maps, or health meters or anything, so it looks like your watching a movie. plus the london city recreation is very exact, when i went there last summer, i drove to my hotel in the game, it was very cool.

you might wanna rent this game b4 you buy it, hopefully if there is a getaway part 2, they will work out their flaws.

I have just recently purchased this game and i got to say it was not worth the 50 bucks i paid for, The graphics is good, story line is ok, They say "Fuck" in almost every sentence, doesnt have an in game map (which i think sucks ass). Overall Its "Ok", But not what i expected.

I've had this game for about 2 weeks, and I am halfway to completing it. The city is exact (I even managed to almost get to my house - if the road was not cut off, I'd get there, with the typical cars (although the R33 seems a bit slow :mad: and the Civics, with ricey altezzas, are quick as hell :D ). The graphics are ok, and the AI isn't anything special. The car handling could also be better.

I agree with the guy who said rent the game first, you should do.

i like the game. beat it in 1 day with about 8 hours of gameplay like crxlvr said. they say fuck a lot. i was cracking up when i heard it at first. but then again, i am only 15. my 12 yar-old brother was about to die he was laughing so hard. i missed the whole point of the mission. the game could use some improvements. for instance, the whole amount of life and the absence of a map. some improvements would help, but otherwise, the game is cool.

The fact that you cannot look behind, or left and right sucks. That makes the game world hard to navigate :mad: .
