Shifter cable pics?

Hello. Just got through doing the range mode sensor fix for some hard upshifting I was having, and now it shifts like new again. While removing the sensor however, I managed to break off a small tab (I think) from the shift cable itself. For those of you who are familiar with it, the shift cable leaves the mode sensor shaft, then passes through a bracket, then continues up into the cab. Since I broke the tab off, the shift cable is now able to slide back and forth through that bracket, thus causing the shift lever inside to not be on the correct gear. I've since ty-wrapped it just to hold it in place, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how that tab was attached to stop it from sliding out of position.
If anyone has the time to help me out by posting a picture of the shift cable passing through the bracket, maybe I will be able to see what it is that actually holds it in place, and see if maybe I'm just puting it on wrong or not. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
