4L60E trans not shifting 2 or 4 gears

I have a S-10 with a junk yard trans I put in about 2 years ago. I lost the Overdrive one day and just kept driving it as is. Made a mistake and talked w/ a co-worker who told me to replace the High Pressure silonoid. I replace the filter, silonoid and fuild. Once I took the truck out on the road I noticed things and changed drasitily. I lost the ability to shift from 1,2,4 gears. I can manually go from 1st to 3rd with nothing showing up in 2 and 4. Check fluid levels and went back to the guy and he told me the change shift siloinods. I now just finished changing the shift silonoids with no change. What NOW????I need help before the snow flies and it gets too cold to drop trans pan.:banghead:

Always do some proper testing before throwing parts at it.
What year and what engine?
Any codes or check engine lights?
