Hello Everyone,
I am having a hard time figuring out why I can't anything more than lukewarm air when I'm using my heater. The Digital Read-out on my Meter says the exterior is at 140 F and does not ever move from that reading. My Air condition works perfect, but even when I put my heat to 90 F it get no better than lukewarm. Any Ideas as to what the problem could be?
It's close to winter and need a warm car!! Help Please.

It would be a good idea to replace the external temp sensor and see what happens. If the controller thinks the ambient temp is 140 deg; it may not allow heat.

Thanks for the advice, I will try that and let you know what happens.

It sounds like to me that your temp selector valve is bad. If you take out the glove compartment insert you will see a metal support brace with two quater size holes look through the small quarter size hole on the left and you should see you selector valve, it is by the heater core and has chrome arm attached to it. The selector valve opens and closes a door allowing in heat or blocking it out but if you can see it you should be able to see it move as you select different temps or just by starting the car. You can dissconnect the the temp selector arm and move it maually to get heat or cold if you cant afford to fix it now.

I changed the External Temperature Sensor and the my External temp reads correctly now. The car for some reason only lets out lukewarm air. I will try your advice next Ron. Your saying to remove the whole arm?? Causing the valve to be completely open?

Ron here
If the temp selector switch which is connected to that arm the moves the door to your heater core doesn't move then it is most likely broken and you should be able to take a long screw driver and move the door yourself
