My 91 camero runs for 1 minute and then it dies!

It's my original baby. It has always run great. Last week I took it out and it started to hesitate. It died a couple of times on my way home. I checked the pump and it is still working. Not sure if it still might not be the problem if it is not giving enough pressure. I plan on changing the fuel filter next. I was also told it could be the cat converter. I don't run this car much, it's just for those nice days in Chicago. Any advice?

Need more info. Engine size, induction type (TPI, TBI, carb).

Is an RS 6 cylinder. Fuel injection. Whats wierd is it runs smooth as it always did for that minute. Doesn't seem to missing or bogged at all. Runs longer when its really cold out.

how long has it been since you changed gas filter? i had a 70 camaro i had dist not coil pack so i'm asuming yours is same? or maybe fuel pump if it was cat it wouldn't die that fast unless it's completley clogged.

71k miles and never changed?? You are loooooong over due for a fuel filter change.
Start there and if it stil does it, pull out the ignition module and take to an auto parts store and have them test it. If it fails, replace with ONLY AC Delco and be sure to use the thermal grease that comes with the new one.

does it start right back up after it dies? when it dies does it die out slowly or all of a sudden? does the car have to warm up before it dies?

yea this sounds like a fuel starvation problem. let us know what happens after you change the filter. And get an inline fuel pressure gauge on it.
