Hello all... first time poster, long time reader. Is a Fuel Pressure Regulator one of those items you should get from the dealer or is one from any other parts house ok? I have a 1999 3.5 and have narrowed it down to that being the problem. Dealer wants $150 for it, parts house wants $60. I don't mind buying it at the dealer it it's going to avoid future headaches.

I replaced the fuel pressure regulator on my 2002, 3.5 engine Intrigue. It took me no more than 15 minutes to replace and I think that I only used a pliers to take it out. After the 2 nuts and top gray plastic cover is removed the regulator is at the end of the fuel rail ( drivers side and rear side of engine). Ask the poeple where you purchase the regulator for any tips on installation. That took care of the engine stalling immediately for me. You will save about a $100 in labor costs. Goodluck.

I did the fuel pressure regulator in the 2000 Intrigue using the Standard Products brand from the Rock. I believe it was even less than $60.00 if you have a few days to order it. The hardest part is the metal clamp, but a pliers or visegrips works.
